Zambezi Source Safari

Day 1 (390km; 5hrs)
Arrive Lusaka International, depart for Kitwe (lodge or camping accommodation).

Day 2 (550km; 7-8hrs)
Early departure to Chingola, visit Chimpanzee Orphanage, scenic drive and camp at Nyambwezu Falls and Rock Shelter. We plan the "discovery" of the source!

Day 3 (220km; 4hrs)
We drive to Mwinilunga and then search for the way to the source, set camp and discover where the water of "Mosi oa Tunya" originate.

Day 4
The source of the mighty zambezi is worth while to discover and explore.

Day 5 (420km; 6-7hrs)
The road from Mwinilunga south to Manyinga is through some of the wildest and remote areas of Zambia. Continue to West Lunga National Park and camp on the bank of the Kabompo river.

Day 6 (380km; 7-8hrs)
Mufumbwe, Kasempa, leave civilization and take a hidden road to the northern entrance of Kafue National Park. Drive south and we camp/chalet at Lufupa on the bank of the Kafue river - impressive!

Day 7
Game drive to the well known Busanga flats - search for buffalo and the tree climbing lions. Surely get involved in enticing tiger fishing.

Day 8 (280km; 5hrs)
Game driving as our main course for the day until we set camp close to Itezhi-Tezhi, afternoon relax or continue the tiger fish challenge.

Day 9
For the keen eye a cheetah spot will be the reward and late afternoon not impossible to spot the illusive leopard. Camp again at Itezhi-Tezhi.

Day 10 (380km; 5hrs)
Today back to the capital of Zambia where we overnight at Pioneer with excellent memories.

Day 11
Fly back to JHB
